Addiction & Mental Health Treatment Programs in Los Angeles, CA
Treatment programs at Rainbow Hill Recovery provide structured, personalized support for adults experiencing substance use disorders, mental health concerns, or co-occurring conditions. We welcome individuals of all identities, backgrounds, and lived experiences into a respectful and supportive treatment environment.
Our Partial Hospitalization Program, Intensive Outpatient Program, and Outpatient Program offer different levels of care based on each client’s clinical needs, recovery goals, and daily responsibilities. Depending on the program, services may include individual therapy, group counseling, addiction education, relapse-prevention planning, psychiatric support, and case management.
Our team works with each client to determine the most appropriate level of outpatient care while helping them build practical skills, address underlying concerns, and establish a stronger foundation for continued recovery.
A Partial Hospitalization Program is an intensive form of outpatient treatment designed for adults who require consistent clinical structure and support without overnight care. Clients can participate in comprehensive programming while continuing to live at home or in a supportive living environment.
PHP may include individual and group therapy, addiction and mental health education, relapse-prevention planning, psychiatric support, and practical coping-skills development. Treatment is tailored to help clients better understand the factors contributing to substance use or emotional distress while learning healthier ways to manage triggers, cravings, stress, and daily challenges.
Participants typically attend treatment during the day for several hours, five days per week. This level of care provides more structure and monitoring than traditional outpatient treatment while allowing clients to maintain important connections with their home and community.
Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)
- Five hours of participation per day, five days per week
- One individual therapy session per week, unless otherwise directed by insurance
- One psychiatric or medication evaluation per month with the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Medical Director
- Case management as needed
An Intensive Outpatient Program provides structured treatment and ongoing clinical support while allowing clients to continue living at home or in a supportive living environment. IOP offers a balance between consistent treatment participation and greater flexibility for work, school, family, and personal responsibilities.
Programming may focus on individual and group counseling, recovery education, relapse prevention, emotional regulation, healthy coping strategies, and practical skills for navigating everyday challenges. Clients also benefit from connecting with others in a supportive treatment setting where they can build accountability and strengthen their recovery network.
Rainbow Hill Recovery offers both five-day and three-day Intensive Outpatient Program options based on clinical needs, treatment progress, and insurance requirements.
Intensive Outpatient Program – Five Days (IOP5)

Outpatient treatment provides flexible, ongoing support for adults who do not require the structure of PHP or IOP. It may also serve as a step-down level of care for clients who have made progress in a more intensive program and are preparing for greater independence.
Clients attend scheduled treatment sessions and then return home to continue their regular routines. Outpatient care may include group programming, individual therapy, recovery planning, relapse-prevention support, and other services based on the client’s needs and treatment plan.
This level of care allows clients to continue strengthening the skills developed during treatment while managing work, education, family responsibilities, and other aspects of daily life.
Outpatient Program (OP)
- One hour of programming, three times per week across three days
- May include individual therapy sessions
- Does not include psychiatric or medication evaluations with the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Medical Director
