How We Treat It

At Rainbow Hill Recovery, we are committed to providing high-quality, affirming care for LGBTQIA+ individuals in our outpatient program. Our approach is centered on respect, inclusivity, and understanding, ensuring that each client receives personalized treatment that addresses their unique needs and experiences.

Rainbow Hill Recovery utilizes comprehensive services such as group therapy, individual therapy, case management, and psychiatry services to support clients recovering from substance use disorders and mental distress. All groups and sessions are trauma-informed and utilize themes that promote security, safety, and comfort to manage daily living and support personal and interpersonal well-being.

Group topics cover a range of subject matter, including mindfulness, life skills, positive psychology, sex – spirituality – sobriety, writing, distress tolerance, interpersonal skills, relapse prevention, spiritual principles, internal family systems, shame & resilience, grief, and neurobiology/brain health for substance use recovery and mental health.

Therapy Approaches
Our outpatient program employs a range of evidence-based therapies to support mental health and substance use recovery for LGBTQIA+ individuals, including:

EXPERIENTIAL Therapy Engage in hands-on activities and group exercises to explore emotions, enhance self-awareness, and foster personal growth. Through experiential therapy, we create a nurturing environment for self-discovery and healing.
EMDR AND TRAUMA INFORMED CARE EMDR Therapy is a structured and evidence-based approach developed to assist individuals in processing traumatic memories and reducing the emotional distress associated with them. It involves guided sessions where clients focus on distressing memories while engaging in bilateral stimulation, typically through guided eye movements.
DIALECTICAL BEHAVIOR THERAPY (DBT) DBTIs a form of cognitive-behavioral therapy designed specifically for individuals with emotion dysregulation and challenging behaviors. DBT combines cognitive-behavioral techniques with principles of mindfulness, acceptance, and dialectics to help clients manage their emotions and improve their quality of life.
INTEGRATIVE THERAPIES It are an approach that combines traditional and complementary treatment methods to address a client’s overall health and well-being. This holistic approach recognizes that mental health challenges are multifaceted and may benefit from a variety of therapeutic interventions. Integrative therapies aim to enhance the effectiveness of treatment by addressing the mind, body, and spirit.0
Brain Chemistry and Relapse Prevention Gain a deeper understanding of the neurological factors behind addiction and relapse. Our educational sessions on brain chemistry will empower you with knowledge, equipping you to make informed choices and develop effective relapse prevention strategies.
AFFIRMATIVE THERAPY Is a therapeutic approach that actively supports and validates an individual's gender identity, sexual orientation, and unique personal experiences. It aims to foster a positive therapeutic relationship and create a safe environment where clients feel accepted and understood.
SOUND BATHS Offer a gentle and nurturing experience that can bring numerous benefits to our well-being. Through the soothing power of sound, these immersive sessions create a space for deep relaxation and healing. As resonant tones wash over, tension dissipates, stress melts away, and our bodies and minds find harmony. Sound baths have the potential to promote mindfulness, reduce anxiety, enhance sleep, and improve overall emotional balance.
CHIROPRACTIC SERVICES Rainbow Hill Recovery provides a holistic, non-invasive approach to healing by focusing on spinal alignment and improving the function of the musculoskeletal system. Our licensed chiropractors use manual adjustments to alleviate pain, enhance mobility, and support the body’s natural healing process. This service complements our recovery programs, promoting both physical and emotional well-being without the use of medication or surgery.
