We accept most out-of-network insurance policies and are actively expanding our list of In-Network providers. As of October 1, 2024, we are proud to be In-Network with Blue Shield of California, and we’re working on securing more In-Network contracts to increase accessibility for our clients.
Understanding Insurance: HMO vs. PPO
Navigating insurance options can be complex, but understanding the differences between HMO and PPO plans will help clarify your coverage.
HMO
Health Maintenance Organization
HMO plans typically require you to select a primary care physician (PCP) and obtain referrals to see specialists. You must use innetwork providers for your care, and out-of-network services are generally not covered unless there’s an emergency.
PPO
(Preferred Provider Organization)
PPO plans offer more flexibility in choosing healthcare providers, allowing you to see both in-network and out-of-network providers without needing a referral. While staying in-network lowers your out-of-pocket costs, out-of-network services are still covered at a lower rate, providing more options for your care.
